Bristol City Women for Everyone.
Accessibility
Making Bristol City Women matchdays accessible for everyone.
At Bristol City Women FC, we are committed to making football accessible for every supporter and ensuring an inclusive, welcoming matchday experience.
We are in open dialogue with our disabled supporters and encourage you to contact the club at any time to discuss facilities, improvements or anything that would help you enjoy a matchday with us.
Please note that Bristol City Women fixtures are not all played at the same venue. Most home fixtures are held at Ashton Gate Stadium, while some are played at the Robins High Performance Centre. Facilities differ between the two venues, so please check which venue applies to the fixture you are attending. Information specific to the Robins High Performance Centre can be found in its own section below.
Accessible & Wheelchair User Tickets
Accessible and wheelchair user tickets are available for all Bristol City Women home fixtures at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Wheelchair user spaces and ease-of-access seating in the Dolman Stand are located in areas A10 and A11, with stewards monitoring our accessible areas on every matchday.
Supporters who are ambulant disabled are welcome to sit anywhere in the Dolman Stand. Seats that are easier to access are located at the front of the stand or at the end of rows, designed to minimise the number of steps required.
Tickets for ambulant disabled seats can be bought online through our ticket portal.
Wheelchair bay tickets are not available to purchase directly online. To protect these spaces, they are not on public sale, so supporters wishing to sit in a wheelchair bay should contact our Supporter Services team, who will arrange access to purchase.
Essential Companion Tickets
Essential Companion Tickets are granted following a successful application for the Bristol Sport Digital Access Pass or the Access Card.
To deliver this, the club works in partnership with Nimbus Disability to provide a consistent and secure way for disabled supporters to have their access requirements recognised.
If through your application to Nimbus you are successfully granted a '+1' or '+2' symbol, you will then be able to claim an Essential Companion Season Ticket or matchday ticket.
The Digital Access Pass is free of charge and valid across all Bristol Sport clubs and venues, including Bristol City Women fixtures, with no additional step required. You can also apply for an Access Card for broader recognition at venues across the UK.
Applying
To apply, supporters are required to:
- Complete an online application
- Submit relevant supporting documentation
- Provide a short description explaining their access requirements
For full details on the types of evidence or supporting information that can be taken into account, please see the Access Card evidence FAQ.
Once you receive confirmation of your Digital Access Pass, you'll be asked to complete a short final form to link the pass to your Bristol Sport ticketing account. This ensures the correct support is in place for matchdays.
If you already have an Access Card, please do not reapply. Instead, link your Access Card to your ticketing account through the linking form.
Away Fans
We extend a warm welcome to all visiting supporters at Bristol City Women home fixtures.
For Bristol City Women matchdays at Ashton Gate, all supporters are seated in the Dolman Stand, with dedicated areas for away fans clearly signposted on arrival.
Visiting supporters who require wheelchair or ambulant access tickets should contact their own club's ticket office in the first instance. Their team will coordinate directly with our Accessibility Team to arrange the right support.
We do not allocate dedicated accessible parking spaces specifically for away supporters. However, accessible spaces are available at the stadium (15 in Winterstoke and 3 on Ashton Road). As demand is typically low, away supporters who need a space are welcome to call our Supporter Services team ahead of the matchday to request and purchase one.
If your club is bringing an accessible coach, please get in touch in advance. We will arrange a suitable drop-off point ahead of the fixture, taking into account operational requirements and any road closures. Your team can then liaise with our stewards regarding coach parking on the day.
For accessible parking arrangements for away supporters, please contact our team in advance.
Travel
By matchday shuttle bus The AG1, AG2 and AG3 matchday shuttle services do not currently run for Bristol City Women fixtures as standard. They are available on request, although they are typically only run for larger crowds. If you would find a shuttle service helpful, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
When shuttle services do operate, they are standard First Bus vehicles with step-free seating and wheelchair spaces, and free parking is available on the AG1 and AG2 routes. For accessibility information on First Bus shuttle and public services, please visit First Bus.
By train Please be aware that Parson Street station does not have step-free access. The closest station with step-free access is Bedminster Station. Alternatively, you can reach Bristol Temple Meads and use the AG3 matchday service (subject to availability) or public bus routes. For more information on accessible train stations, please visit National Rail.
Accessible Parking & Drop-off Point
A limited number of accessible parking spaces are available at Ashton Gate for Bristol City Women matchdays. To date, we have always been able to accommodate supporters who need a space.
If accessible parking is no longer available at the point of booking, please contact our ticketing team and we will do our best to arrange a suitable alternative as close to the stadium as possible.
We do not routinely offer dedicated accessible Season Ticket parking for Bristol City Women fixtures, as not every fixture is held at Ashton Gate. If you would like to discuss a season-long arrangement, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.
For supporters travelling by car, we also recommend pre-booking parking around the stadium via YourParkingSpace.
Drop-off point There is a drop-off point at the main entrance to the stadium, nearest to KFC, off Winterstoke Road (BS3 2LQ). Please note that this drop-off point is not separately stewarded; however, stewards based at the ground are on hand and happy to assist if you need support on arrival.
Route from Outside to Seat
Ashton Gate offers step-free access from the approach roads through to all wheelchair user and accessible seating areas in the Dolman Stand.
All our turnstiles include a larger accessible gated entrance. If you need any assistance accessing the stadium on a matchday, please inform a nearby steward, who will be happy to help.
Fan Experience Ambassadors Positioned around the stadium on matchdays, Fan Experience Ambassadors (wearing pink high-visibility vests) play a key role in welcoming supporters and enhancing their experience. They assist fans with directions, enquiries and general information to help ensure a smooth visit.
Help to Seat At every turnstile, there will be a 'Help to Seat' Fan Ambassador, providing additional support to fans who may need help locating or getting to their seats, or moving through the concourse.
Handrails in the Dolman Stand The Dolman Stand contains handrails to assist your journey from the concourse, up the stairs and into the stand, in line with row 9 going up to row 41. Please note that on rows 1 to 7 in E28, E30, E31, E32 and E34, and rows 5 to 7 in E29 and E33, there are no handrails available.
If you have any questions about which seating area is most suitable for your access requirements, please contact us before booking.
Accessibility Stewards
Our stewards monitor all accessible areas on every Bristol City Women matchday to provide friendly, practical support. They are trained in disability awareness and equality.
On matchdays, Accessibility Stewards wear a purple-banded yellow high-vis jacket to make them easy to identify.
All of our club's stewards are trained to NVQ Level 2 standard in spectator safety, which includes an equality and diversity module.
If you require help at any time, please speak to the nearest steward and they will assist you.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are available throughout the Dolman Stand, fitted with emergency pull cords and some with RADAR key access. Within every main toilet block there are also ambulant toilets.
While we do not currently have a Changing Places facility, our accessible toilet located outside A8 has a height-adjustable changing bed. This toilet is not RADAR key accessed.
Most of our accessible toilets have been adapted to be stoma-friendly. These can be identified by the Colostomy UK "Not all disabilities are visible" sticker. If you require any additional assistance, please inform a nearby steward.
Stewards and staff can assist with directions to toilets on matchdays. Accessibility Stewards carry RADAR keys with them for access if required.
Please be mindful that supporters with non-visible disabilities may also need to use accessible toilets.
If you experience any problems with the use of the accessible toilets on matchday, please contact the nearest steward.

To make your visit as enjoyable as possible, Ashton Gate Stadium offers a range of additional accessibility services, including:
- Hearing loop stationed within the ticket office, with a portable hearing loop on hand for the internal concession stands

If you require a specific service or facility that is not currently available, please contact our Disability Liaison Officer before your visit and we will do our best to assist.
Accessibility at Robins High Performance Centre
Some Bristol City Women and Under-21 fixtures are played at the Robins High Performance Centre rather than at Ashton Gate. The facilities here differ from those at the stadium, so please read this section if you are attending a fixture at this venue.
Arrival and Parking
The main entrance to the Robins High Performance Centre is through the car park, with reception on the left.
There are eight accessible parking bays, located opposite the main reception on the right. These spaces are free of charge but must be booked in advance by emailing us at contact@bristolcitywomenfc.com. Once confirmed, your name will be added to the parking steward's list. On arrival, simply state your name to the steward.
Drop-off point For an accessible drop-off, drive through the car park; the drop-off point is on the left and resembles a bus stop. Please note there is a raised kerb. For step-free access, follow the kerb round to the left.
Tickets and Seating
Please purchase your tickets online, and confirm your accessible seating arrangements in advance by emailing contact@bristolcitywomenfc.com.
Essential Companion Tickets are available at the Robins High Performance Centre on the same basis as at Ashton Gate, through the Bristol Sport Digital Access Pass and Access Card scheme in partnership with Nimbus Disability. Please see the Essential Companion Tickets section above for full details.
Step-free Access to Seating and Toilets
On arrival, head to the main reception, where there is an automatic door. Please note there is no lowered counter here.
Ground floor: Inform reception staff that you require access to the accessible seating area, and a member of staff will assist you on your journey to your seat. An accessible lift and accessible toilet are located immediately to the left, with stairs on the right.
First floor: Exit the lift and continue forward along the corridor. You will reach a heavy, non-automatic door; through this door, turn left for the accessible toilet and general toilet facilities. Continue down the corridor to a further non-automatic door, which leads to the viewing platform via a final non-automatic glass sliding door. Beyond these doors is the accessible seating area, which includes ample wheelchair space, personal assistant space and additional room for multiple chairs if required.
Please note there is a metal safety bar at the front of the accessible bay that could obstruct sight lines. If you have any concerns about this, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to help.
Access to Seating via Steps
To reach the seating area via steps, head to either side of the centre. There are twelve steps with railings up to pitch level, then a further six steps (with rails) and twelve steps (without rails), depending on where you are seated.
On the right side of the centre, before the steps up to the pitch, there are five general toilets. Please note these are not accessible. The nearest ground-floor accessible toilet is just inside reception on the left.
