Bristol City Women FC is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk across every part of the club, from our academy and youth pathways to the first team and matchdays at the stadium.
Safeguarding vision
We seek to create a safe, secure and inclusive culture that enables all children, young people, vulnerable groups and adults to participate in football and the wider activities of the club, as players, supporters, volunteers and members of our community.
All our staff, players and volunteers share in this commitment.
Everyone shares responsibility for promoting and protecting the safety and welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
Children, young people and adults at risk have, without exception, the right to protection from abuse, mistreatment and exploitation in any form.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

Our policies set out how we keep people safe at BCWFC and what we expect from everyone involved with the club. They are reviewed regularly and updated in line with FA and WSL requirements.

Raising a safeguarding concern
If you are worried about the welfare of a child, young person or adult at risk involved with BCWFC, please tell us. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong to report a concern, if something doesn't feel right, please get in touch.
How to contact us

If a child is in immediate danger
If you believe a child or adult is in immediate danger, call the police on 999 straight away.
What happens after you raise a concern
All concerns are taken seriously and handled sensitively. When you contact our safeguarding team we will:
Listen to you and record the details of your concern.
Acknowledge your contact, usually within one working day.
Decide on the appropriate next steps, which may include referring the matter to The FA, statutory authorities (such as the police or local authority) or another relevant agency.
Keep your information confidential and only share it on a need-to-know basis.
Keep you informed where it is appropriate to do so.

If your concern is urgent, please call the police on 999 instead.
