15 Jun 2026

Bristol City rounded off their season in fine fashion with a 4-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

A rocket from Rio Hardy and a Lexi Lloyd-Smith hat-trick saw City comfortably secure all three points on the final day of the season.

City boss Charlotte Healy made one change to the side that beat Newcastle 2-1 last weekend as Fran Bentley was restored between the sticks in place of Lauren Brzykcy.

The Robins win means they finish fourth in the table, just one place adrift of a play-off spot.

City started brightly in Sheffield and it was Marine Dafeur with the first attempt of the afternoon, sending a curled free-kick from distance towards the top corner, but her effort was pushed out for a corner.

Just four minutes later Charlotte Healy's side found a deserved breakthrough.

Syme the provider, drove towards goal before finding Hardy just inside the area who flashed a left footed effort well beyond Parker-Smith's reach for her 10th goal of the season.

Hardy had the chance to double City’s advantage after the Robins were awarded a penalty but Parker-Smith got down well to prevent a second before the interval.

City picked up where they left off in the second-half, dominating proceedings and forcing Parker-Smith into a string of impressive saves to deny Lloyd-Smith, Hardy and Syme.

Issi Hebard was then introduced for the first time since a 7-0 win over Ipswich back in November after spending time on the sideline due to .

With City still knocking on the door, it was only so long before Robins’ advantage was to be extended.

A combination of Syme and Lloyd-Smith helped win possession deep in the Blades' half before the latter bent an effort into the bottom corner to further cement the three points.

Lloyd-Smith wasn’t finished there as she went on to complete her first career hat-trick deep into added-time after firing beyond Parker-Smith from close range which saw her secure the Barclays WSL2 golden boot award.

City’s impressive win sees the Robins finish as the league’s top scorers with 47 goals, leaving them 4th in the table on 37 points.
