A strong first-half performance and goals from Carla Humphrey and Vicky Losada were enough to ensure that Bristol were still waiting for their first point of the campaign.
Danielle Carter almost bundled Arsenal into an early lead when her effort was cleared off the line by Sophie Ingle after Rachel Yankey's free-kick fell her way.
But the Gunners were ahead after 14 minutes when Carter fought her way past Loren Dykes on the right before squaring to give Humphrey a simple finish.
The hosts opened up clear water between themselves and Bristol when Alex Scott's header across goal was cleared out to Losada and goalkeeper Mary Earps couldn't keep out her rising shot.
The Vixens then missed a good chance to get back into the game just before half-time when Frankie Fantom-Brown's dangerous cross from the right was blazed over by Nadia Lawrence.
The closest Arsenal came to adding to the scoreline in the second half came when Carter hit the post from close range after Earps brilliantly kept out Lianne Sanderson's header.
