City's Adobe Women's FA Cup campaign came to an end with a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal.

Frida Maanum scored while Stina Blackstenius and Beth Mead both struck twice to seal the Gunners' cup progression.

It took just three minutes for the hosts to take the lead as Mead crossed for Blackstenius to finish.

Inside ten minutes it was two, Maanum getting the better of Jackie Burns from distance.

After a quarter of a hour, Jamie-Lee Napier got in behind the Arsenal defence but couldn't really test Manuela Zinsberger with an effort from outside the area.

Then, with 17 minutes on the clock, Blackstenius bagged her second of the evening as she won the ball back high up the pitch before finishing well from range.

The Gunners rattled the crossbar through Maanum before, a minute later, making it 4-0 courtesy of a Mead header.

Ten minutes into the second half, Mead made it 5-0 with a powerful effort from the right wing.

Burns was called upon again after 69 minutes as she produced a good stop to deny Blackstenius her hattrick.
