City picked up a point on the road as they drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
The hosts went ahead early in the second half, but substitute Ffion Morgan headed home an equaliser for Steve Kirby's side.
After a quiet start to proceedings, the Robins had a fantastic opportunity to go ahead with 26 minutes played, Harley Bennett glancing a free header wide of the mark after Emily Syme's free-kick from the right flank.
Three minutes from the interval, Georgia Walters hit an audacious strike from inside the centre circle, almost catching Jackie Burns out with her first-time effort.
The first chance of the second half fell the way of Jamie-Lee Napier as she drove down the left flank before seeing her effort well blocked on the edge of the area.
The game's opener came on 52 minutes when Rovers captain Tyler Toland curled in an excellent finish from range after winning the ball back high up the pitch.
Kirby opted for a triple change on the hour mark, with Ffion Morgan, Amalie Thestrup and Jess Simspon joining the action.
The latter got straight into the thick of it, testing goalkeeper Alex Brookes from a tight angle to win a corner.
Two minutes later, the defender was involved again as she floated a perfect ball over the Blackburn defence for Morgan to nod home an excellent header.
City dominated much of the remaining action, but couldn't find a way through a resolute Rovers side.
