A Millie Farrow strike and an own goal were enough to secure the points and the bragging rights, after Yeovil opened the scoring after 15 minutes.

The game was level at the break and Bristol City Women were left to rue missed chances after dominating large parts of the half.

Farrow had a number of chances fall her way, only to be denied by the Yeovil keeper and narrow misses.

That pressure continued into the second period, where on 75 minutes, the Vixens took the lead deservedly through an own goal.

Other notable chances fell to Chloe Gilroy and Katie Jones in the second-half, but the Vixens couldn’t convert.

A number of first-team players gained valuable minutes, with Sophie Baggaley and Carla Humphrey playing 90 minutes and Millie Farrow playing 45 minutes respectively.
