Jade Boho-Sayo and Caroline Weir made competitive debuts for the Vixens whilst Chelsea's record signing, England World Cup hero Fran Kirby, was not involved in the game following her move from Reading.
Boho-Sayo was lively throughout, hitting an effort narrowly over the bar early on, before Gilly Flaherty's close-range finish gave Chelsea the lead in the sixth minute.
Gemma Davison put the hosts in control with a brilliant solo effort soon after, floating past two defenders before calmly finishing past Mary Earps in the Vixens goal.
The impressive Boho-Sayo gave Bristol some hope, grabbing a debut goal just after the break, before any hopes of a comeback were extinguished by a Ji So-Yun penalty after the South Korean was fouled by Frankie Brown.
Millie Farrow added a late fourth to seal a comfortable win for the league leaders, leaving the Vixens still searching for that elusive first league win of the season.
See the Vixens new stars as well as several of England's World Cup squad as Bristol Academy face Manchester City Women at the Stoke Gifford Stadium on Saturday, July 18th at 3pm - .
