City suffered their heaviest defeat of the campaign as title-chasing Chelsea won 8-0.
Guro Reiten found the net four times, added to by an Aggie Beever-Jones brace and goals from Sjoeke Nusken and Niamh Charles.
It was tough from the outset as the hosts took the lead inside 7 minutes as Jazz Bull was penalised for a challenge in the area, Reiten making no mistake from the penalty spot.
Amalie Thestrup then almost levelled things up after a swift counter-attack but saw her prodded effort saved by Zecira Musovic after Jamie-Lee Napier's cross.
The 23rd minute brought with it a second goal for Chelsea, Nusken bundling home from a corner after a smart Fran Bentley save.
Lauren Smith's side showed real signs of promise over the remainder of the half, but couldn't profit from a number of dangerous positions, most notably when Ffion Morgan raced through before seeing her square pass cut out.
Beever-Jones almost scored in spectacular fashion with the final touch of the first half but turned her overhead kick wide.
City again looked threatening in the early stages of the second half, but with 54 minutes played, it was three; Beever-Jones applying the finish.
Chelsea turned up the heat, and within two minutes were four goals to the good as Reiten got her second.
The Norwegian completed her hat-trick after 71 minutes before Charles lashed home a sixth three minutes later.
And four minutes after that, Reiten bagged her fourth of the afternoon.
Former City loanee Beever-Jones made it eight late on.
