Despite a dominate performance the Robins were unable to get anything from the game after Ellie Wilson's first half header was enough to give the Blades all three points.
🧐 BACKGROUND
Lauren Smith made two changes to the starting XI that beat Watford in their last outing with Ella Powell and Ava Kuyken coming into the side in place of Brooke Aspin and Chloè Bull.
✍️ WHAT HAPPENED?
Abi Harrison had the Robins' first chance of the game, driving into the box from the left striking the ball just wide of the post.
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk had a chance minutes later but the Blades' top goalscorer's shot was saved by Fran Bentley.
Just 15 minutes into the match City were forced into a change when Aimee Palmer had to be replaced due to injury with Jasmine Bull coming on in place of the Captain.
Ffion Morgan saw her effort blaze over the bar after Aggie Beever-Jones played the ball to the Welsh international from the left.
Just after the half-hour mark the hosts took the lead when Ellie Wilson headed in from close range from a free-kick.
Both Harrison and Beever-Jones had chances to put the Robins level before the break but blocks from the Blades' defenders and keeper kept the home side in front going into half-time.
⏱ HALF-TIME
The Blades came out fast at the start of the second half but Bentley was there to make the saves needed to keep the Robins in the game.
Powell was there to intercept when the hosts' forward was played through on goal five minutes into the second half.
Beever-Jones fired a free-kick from 25-yards towards goal with 15 minutes to go but the Blades keeper got across to make a save.
Despite a dominant second-half display from the Robins they were unable to get on the scoresheet therefore the Blades took all three points.
