Ashton Gate will host the Subway® Women’s League Cup Final on Sunday, March 15th, 2026.

Tickets for the Mother’s Day fixture, which will kick-off at 2.15pm, will go on sale in January, but supporters can register their interest now for an exclusive priority window before general sale.

Ashton Gate continues to be recognised as a leading domestic and international sports venue, hosting the Lionesses three times, the England Red Roses rugby team twice, and most recently the Women’s Rugby World Cup. It has also been included in the UK’s bid to host the 2035 FIFA Women’s Football World Cup.

Ashton Gate Chief Operating Officer Ross Wormald said: “This is another great honour for the stadium as we continue to secure prestigious sporting events.

“We are very proud of our matchday experience and have consistently shown that we can host fantastic, family-friendly women’s sporting events, be it Lionesses or Rugby World Cups, and we can’t wait to welcome fans to a great day at Ashton Gate.”

The final will be contested by two of eight teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United) in this weekend’s quarter-finals with the finalists known after the semi-finals on January 21st and 22nd.

VAR (Video Assistant Referee) and Goal Line Technology will be in use for the final, while for the first time in the fixture’s history, supporters will have the option to drink alcohol in view of the pitch as part of the league’s ongoing Fan Choice trial.

Bristol City Women Board Director Lisa Knights added: “The interest and profile of women’s football is growing each year and it is an important part of our strategy to inspire young girls and women in Bristol and the South West. We have seen the positive impact on participation in women’s football of Ashton Gate hosting the Lionesses, either playing or watching. Having the Subway League Cup Final on Mother’s Day is another great opportunity to showcase top-flight football in the South West.”

Chief Operating Officer for WSL Football Holly Murdoch said: “Bristol is a city rich in sporting heritage, and with its strong history of hosting major women’s sporting events, Ashton Gate feels like the perfect choice for this season’s final.

“We look forward to working closely with the team there to deliver a memorable experience for our fans and the wider Bristol community.”
