Bristol City travel to Sheffield United for their final game of the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League 2 season on Saturday, May 2nd (3pm).

Charlotte Healy will be looking for her side to finish the season on a high, and build on last week’s 2-1 win over Newcastle United, in which Jessie Gale scored a last gasp winner.

That was Gale’s eighth league goal of the campaign, meaning she is level with Lexi Lloyd-Smith, and one behind Rio Hardy in the race for the WSL2 golden boot heading into the final day.

OUR OPPONENTS: SHEFFIELD UNITED

Sheffield United have established themselves as second tier regulars since their promotion application was approved back in 2018.

They came closest to relegation last season, when they finished bottom and were destined for the drop, before Blackburn Rovers’ resignation from the division saw them granted a reprieve.

The Blades have endured another tough season under the stewardship of Stephen Healy, who was appointed as Head Coach in January, and find themselves second bottom heading into Sunday’s fixture.

Their WSL2 safety was confirmed last weekend however, despite a 2-1 defeat to Durham, as Portsmouth were relegated from the second tier.
