Bennett signs for City.

Bristol City have signed Harley Bennett from Watford.

The 34-year-old defender joins on a one-year-deal, with the option of a further year, adding a wealth of experience to the City squad.

Bennett signed for the Hornets in 2023 after spending four years at London City Lionesses, in which she captained the club in the final two years of her spell at Hayes Lane.

On signing for the Robins, Bennett said: “I’m delighted to be here. The club have huge ambitions and want to go straight back up, so I’m excited to be part of it.”

Head Coach Lauren Smith added: “Harley is a fantastic addition and adds important experience to our squad.”

The club can also confirm the departure of goalkeeper Shae Yanez.
