Bentley bolsters Lauren Smith’s options between the sticks as preparations ramp up for the upcoming season.
Bentley said: “I’m looking forward to a season of development at Bristol City – it’s an opportunity for me to push on and grow as a goalkeeper.
“I’ve had great conversations with the head coach (Lauren Smith) and the goalkeeper coach (Dan Smith) about the plans for me and ambitions of the club for this season and it’s an exciting challenge.
“Sophie (Whitehouse) has already come in as well as Erin (Foley) and we’re going to push each other as a group of keepers to get better every day.”
The 20-year-old began her career at Manchester United in the youth age groups before switching to the blue side of the city in 2017, where she won the FA Development League with the Manchester City Academy.
However, Bentley would return to her childhood team when Manchester United reformed their women’s side in 2018.
She would make one appearance for the Red Devils in the first half of the season before heading to Sheffield United on-loan for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.
Last season saw Bentley gain more valuable experience in the Championship at Blackburn Rovers prior to being recalled by her parent club in December. The shot-stopper has also had international honours having represented the Lionesses from the Under-15s to Under-18s.
Season Cards are still available for supporters to purchase for the 2021/22 FA Championship season.
