The official jersey for Break The Cycle 2024 is here!
Now in its 14th year, Break The Cycle takes place on Sunday, June 30th and gives cyclists the chance to raise money through entry fees and sponsorship for the Bristol Bears Community Foundation, Bristol Sport Foundation or Bristol City’s Robins Foundation.
Cyclists will go via a picturesque route starting from Ashton Gate across the Mendips, with experienced riders able tackle the famous Cheddar Gorge climb. Upon finishing you can enjoy food and refreshments provided by Nando’s and Bristol Beer Factory.
We can now proudly reveal the Break The Cycle 2024 jersey featuring headline sponsors Sprague Gibbons and Alder King Property Consultants as well as partners Urban Creation, Indigo Food Group, Molson Group, Hydrock, Hargreaves Lansdown, Loc8, Avalon Planning & Heritage, Alliance Communications, Knee Specialists, MHR Manager, Plantforce, Motus Recruitment, BW Cycling, The Aspire Partnership LLP, Nando’s, Core3, Bristol Beer Factory, Paramount and The Bike Shed Café.
We expect more than 300 riders to enjoy a challenging yet enjoyable day on a bike while raising crucial funds for the life-changing work of their chosen Bristol Sport charity.
The funds raised for the Robins Foundation will go directly towards delivering free to access, life-changing local community projects and programmes that directly impact people in areas of deprivation, who need it the most. Join the Robins Foundation in changing lives for the better.
Robins Foundation CEO, Dan White said: "This year’s BTC Jersey will look great out on the road, for what promises to be a special day where fans from across the professional clubs come together. This year’s ride will be fun for all, and we urge everyone to participate and raise money for worthwhile causes that support our local community."
You can find out more information about the routes below:
Bears Foundation Community Development Manager, Craig Capel said: "I am personally very pleased to have more local businesses than ever before displayed on a very smart bit of kit, and I can’t wait to see BTC sponsors donning this year’s jersey out on course and proudly representing the amazing work of our charities. Special thanks to every partner on the jersey for your support.”
If you choose to support Bears Community Foundation, the money you raise will support the charity’s inclusion programmes, specifically those that exist to support access to sport and physical activity for those with disabilities, additional needs or live in areas of high deprivation.
Chief Community Officer at Bristol Sport Foundation, Sarah Mortiboys said: "Break the Cycle is such an important moment for us to demonstrate the power of working together and this year’s jersey speaks to this partnership across Bristol Sport. We are thrilled to be a part of this and are looking forward to cheering on all our collective supporters at the event in June”!
Funds raised for the Bristol Sport Foundation will be used to help expand delivery of the Holiday Activity and Food programme, which ensures children from low-income families can participate in sport and receive a hot meal outside of term time at no cost therefore working hard to try to eliminate holiday hunger for those families that need us most.
Spread the word and tell your family, friends and colleagues to get involved in Break The Cycle and don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to support our Bristol Sport charities.
