Bristol City Women and Robins Foundation unite.

08 Jun 2026BCW Media Team

On Wednesday February 18th, City Women invited staff and participants from Bristol City Robins Foundation to the High Performance Centre for a ‘Jobs Fair’. Players were able to chat directly to staff about the work they do in the community and to participants about the impact it has on their lives.

The aim of this event was to engage players in Foundation projects related to their interests, and empower them to become Robins Foundation ambassadors. The event was set up like a job or university Freshers' Fair, with opportunities for discussion across the board. Each project had a stall with resources linked to their delivery.

Players have since signed up to become ambassadors of specific Foundation projects, and Bristol City Women have committed to every player in the squad making a meaningful engagement with the Robins Foundation by the end of the season. Ambassadors include Lauren Brzykcy for Social Inclusion, Esther Morgan for Women's Health and Ella Powell for disability. City Women Senior Operations and Project Manager Emma Jolliffe organised the event and said,

“Bristol City Women have long been big supporters of the Foundation, and it's so important to us as a club that we maintain an authentic connection with the work that goes on across the city. The real aim for us is to have players popping up across all of our Foundation sessions on a regular basis, getting to know the people who access them and helping the Foundation staff to inspire them.

"Our first ever Foundation 'jobs fair' event has given all of our players the chance to find out more about the brilliant work across all the different programmes and find out more about the ones that they feel most passionate about.

"It was such a pleasure to host the Robins Foundation staff at the training ground for the afternoon and there was a real positive buzz in the air. Our players came away feeling informed and inspired, and many of them have signed up to become ambassadors of various programmes. What more could we ask for?!"

Robins Foundation Community Engagement Lead, Roza Bailey said,

“Positive events such as these reiterate the importance and impact of bringing the club and community together. Further, they demonstrate the power of meaningful player engagements for members of the community and the players themselves.

"By engaging players in their interests, there is opportunity for excellent engagements at Foundation sessions as well as players' personal development. These ambassadors can help us at the Foundation to develop our projects and get involved in activities related to their role. We are excited to get started!”
