The renewal will see Shock Absorber remain front of shirt sponsor for Bristol Bears Women as they embark on the 2020/21 Premier 15s season. The UK’s number one sports bra brand will also continue its sponsorship of Bristol City Women as sleeve sponsor for the upcoming Barclays FA Women’s Super League campaign.

The brand will be using the partnership to continually educate both Bristol Sport’s women players and their fans on the importance of wearing a proper sports bra. Shock Absorber has conducted extensive research in partnership with The University of Portsmouth; finding breasts move up to 14cm when unsupported during exercise.

Bristol Sport Group Head of Commercial, Caroline Herbert, said: “We are delighted that Shock Absorber will continue as principal partner to both our women’s teams.

“Shock Absorber are continually innovating and creating quality products, which has put them at the forefront of the global sports bra industry, and it is brilliant to have our women’s teams continue their partnership with such an elite brand.

“We are looking forward to developing the partnership with Shock Absorber further, as both teams embark on what is set to be an exciting 2020/21 season.”

Hanesbrands Sales and Marketing Director UK and Ireland, Heather Nogueira adds: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with both Bristol Bears Women and Bristol City Women to see how we can grow and develop our relationship over the coming season.

“The prospect of how we can help educate not just professional athletes but also all sportswomen on the importance of wearing the right sports bra is hugely exciting.

“Our products have undergone stringent research and testing to ensure they’re perfectly suited to the demands of elite sport and it’s fantastic to be working with an organisation like Bristol Sport, with whom we share many core values.

“The success of both teams in their respective competitions, coupled with the rise of women’s sport on the global stage, continues to make this partnership an exciting prospect and we look forward to the season ahead and seeing our brand associated with the leading women’s sports teams in the South-West.”
