Bristol City have signed Lauren Brzykcy on a two-and-a-half-year deal, subject to international clearance.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper joins Charlotte Healy’s side after a spell in Sweden with Piteå, where she made 25 appearances.

Born in the United States, Brzykcy played College Football for UCLA, before joining San Diego Wave.

Internationally, Brzykcy represents Hungary, with her first cap coming in 2024, and she has since become the nation’s first-choice goalkeeper.

On joining Bristol City, Brzycky said: “I’m thrilled to be at this amazing club and I’m excited to get to work.

“Everything is progressing in a positive way, and I think this is a good step for me.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy feels this signing adds strength in depth to her goalkeeping department.

She added: “Lauren is a very talented goalkeeper who will add to the quality and competition in our goalkeeper department.

“We are really looking forward to working with her and seeing her develop with us.”
