Burns signs for City.

City have signed Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Jackie Burns, who most recently was at Reading.

The 27-year-old has played 52 times for her country and has spent the past two seasons at Reading. Before that, she played in the USA, Iceland and Sweden.

On signing for City, Burns said: “Bristol City have always been one of those teams which has competed for the Championship. You always want to go to a club which has a good backing, and I have heard so much about the City supporters and how amazing they are.

“I am really excited to get started and get going with this team.”

Head Coach Lauren Smith said: “I am really pleased we could secure the services of Jackie who has so much experience in the game.

“She will bring us a lot both on and off the pitch and I am looking forward to working with her.”
