Burns signs for City.

Bristol City have re-signed Jackie Burns on a deal until the end of season.

The Northern Irish shot stopper returns to the Robins after spending the previous season at Calgary Wild FC.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Burns said: “I’m delighted to be back. It’s a great club with strong ambitions, and I’m looking forward to getting started here again.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “Jackie is a familiar face at Bristol City and we’re delighted to welcome her back.

"Both Fran and Emily have picked up knocks the last few weeks and so it was important that we strengthened the depth in our goal-keeping department in this window."

Healy continued "Jackie's also a fantastic person too so I know that she will settle in really quickly and provide the experience needed at this level to the goalkeepers we have.

"She is a great addition to our squad."
