Celebrating International Women’s Day 2023.

Grace Williams (Bristol City Women General Manager) joined Daisie Mayes (Bristol Bears Women forward and Bears High Performance Centre Operations Manager) for a 30-minute discussion with Lisa Knights (Group Communications Director) on a variety of topics.

The trio discussed how Bristol City and Bristol Bears have embraced equity and lifted barriers to provide their women’s teams equal access and opportunity to perform at the highest level in their given sports at both high performance centres.

Increased visibility and attendances for women’s football and rugby were also topics, the importance of increasing the commercial value of the women’s game as well as the challenges faced by female athletes while competing during their menstrual cycle.
