PLAYER OF THE MONTH - ABI HARRISON

Harrison’s stellar form was on display in abundance throughout the month of February as the striker netted five goals in three games, with the Scot twice earning the Player of the Week accolade.

A striker’s currency is goals and Harrison had the perfect start to the month as she bagged a brace in City’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace at the Robins High Performance Centre.

As City ventured to the North East to take on Durham, Harrison’s eye for goal continued as the she struck twice in the first 45 minutes of City’s 3-0 victory over the Wildcats.

Harrison rounded off the month with a goal as she struck from the spot in the Robins’ entertaining 3-2 victory over London City Lionesses. Aimee Palmer also struck a sweet free-kick as well as Aggie Beever-Jones picking out the bottom corner with a pinpoint volley.

The forward, who has recently signed a new deal to remain in the West Country until the end of the 2022/23 season, has a phenomenal strike this season after finding the back of the net on 17 occasions in all competitions.

City’s skipper has found a knack of scoring from set-piece’s this campaign having bagged four goals from deadball scenarios.

Fitting it would Palmer’s curling free-kick against London City Lionesses, which also turned out to be the match-winner, that has been nominated for February’s Goal of the Month.
