Bristol City stars Adam Randell and Lexi Lloyd-Smith have been named the club’s PFA Community Champions for the 2025/26 season, recognising the outstanding contribution both players have made away from the pitch across the Bristol community.
The annual award celebrates players who go above and beyond to support local people and community causes, with nominations submitted by Bristol City Robins Foundation.
Throughout the season, Randell has shown a genuine commitment to giving back through a range of Foundation initiatives. His support has included mentoring young people, engaging with community programmes and helping vulnerable people across the city.
During the festive period, Adam joined fellow City teammates at the Julian Trust Night Shelter in St Pauls as part of the club’s Christmas community efforts. There, he helped prepare and serve warm meals to more than 50 guests, supporting rough sleepers and those experiencing homelessness in Bristol.
Randell has also played an active role in the Foundation’s youth outreach work, including in the EFL Week of Action and with regular visits to Robins Foundation Kicks sessions. His presence has helped inspire young people, promote participation and reinforce the importance of safe, inclusive spaces where young people can thrive through football.
Adam Randell said:
"Since joining the club, I have been so impressed by the work The Robins Foundation do and I am grateful to be able to give back in a small way.
“We know by supporting as players, it can make a difference and it has been really enjoyable learning about the work they do and visiting the different projects across the city.”
Over the last two seasons, Lloyd-Smith has built a strong and meaningful connection with the Robins Foundation’s girls’ Turn Up and Play Kicks session and Youth Council in St Pauls.
After attending an Iftar event hosted by the Youth Council during Ramadan in March 2025, Lexi continued to support the group through four additional visits of her own initiative. In March 2026, she returned for the Youth Council’s second Iftar after working closely with participants to help plan the event.
Her commitment has made a lasting impression on the young people involved, with participants presenting Lexi with her award during a recent session — recognising the impact she has made directly within their community.
Lexi Lloyd-Smith said:
"I have really enjoyed being able to get involved in the Robins Foundation initiatives and it is so important to us all that we continue to give back.
"They do such amazing work and we are grateful for what they do in the community each and every year, so I want to thank them for the opportunity and the award.”
Special mentions also go to Emily Syme, Ella Powell and Rio Hardy, who have each shown exceptional dedication to community work over the past year and would have been worthy recipients of the award.
Roza Bailey, Robins Foundation Community Engagement Lead, said:
“Lexi’s commitment and passion for this session and the girls have been amazing to see. She brings infectious energy, always gets fully involved and has become a real role model to the group. The girls always talk about her, and the genuine connection she has built is exactly why she deserves this recognition.”
James Edwards, Chief Development Officer at Bristol City Robins Foundation, said:
“Adam and Lexi have represented Bristol City brilliantly this season through the time, care and energy they have given to our communities. Their willingness to engage so authentically with people across Bristol has made a real and lasting difference. They are fantastic ambassadors for the club, and we are incredibly grateful for the impact they continue to make beyond football.”
