All three players have represented their country on the international stage with Payne representing the Republic of Ireland in early 2018, Ayane is a former young Lioness having played at Under-23 level and Kemppi has led the line for her national side, Finland.

Heather Payne joins from Irish side, Peamount and the forward spoke of her delight at signing with BCWFC: “It’s fantastic to be signing with Bristol City Women and to be able to experience the Women’s Super League this season.

“I’m looking forward to learning and developing my game here, it’s the club that is right for me at this stage in my career.”

Ayane joins from Cyrpiot side, Apollon Limassol and the forward will be a familiar face to City Women fans having competed a loan-spell with BCWFC back in 2016.

“I’m really looking forward to returning to Bristol after such a positive loan back in 2016. The club has always been supportive of me as a player so it’s great to be back in red again.

“Bristol have always had good foundations and ambitious targets, I’m really looking forward  to the new challenges ahead in the Women’s Super League.", said Ayane.

Juliette Kemppi arrives at the Stoke Gifford Stadium from Norwegian side, Kolbotn Fotball. The Finnish international will add plenty of pace and power to the City Women front-line and her addition gives manager, Tanya Oxtoby plenty of attacking options as City Women embark on a new season.
