City Women’s Academy Pathway is hosting trials to find the next generation of stars for the Category 1 Professional Game Academy (PGA), a key part of the club's development programme.
The Robins’ commitment to their core value of producing homegrown players is evident in Lauren Smith’s first team, with 15 graduates or existing members of the club’s Academy being included in the 2023/24 WSL matchday squads.
This summer will see the club host two separate trials for the PGA and the Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).
The criteria for application to the PGA Academy is targeted towards high potential players already performing within mixed football, County representative football, PGA Academy football and National Teams.
The Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) is targeted to players playing across all levels of the game.
The Under-16s PGA trials will take place on Monday, July 8th, through to Friday, July 12th, every day, from 6-8pm at SGS College Wise Campus. Players considered for U16 PGA must be born between September 1st, 2008, and August 31st, 2010.
The Under-14s PGA trials will take place on Monday, July 15th, through to Friday July 19th, every day, from 6-8pm at SGS Wise Campus. Players considered for U14 PGA must be born between September 1st, 2010, and August 31st, 2012.
The ETC trials will also take place from 6-8pm at SGS College Wise Campus.
The Under-16s trials will be on Monday 22nd July. The Under-14s trials will be on Tuesday July 23rd, and the Under-12s trials will be on Wednesday July 24th. These trials are specifically for the Under-16s, Under-14s AND Under 12s Emerging Talent Centre groups.
