The attacking midfielder arrives in the West Country from Manchester United, where she signed a three-year deal in July 2022.

Clinton began her football journey in the Everton Academy before breaking into the first team during the 2020/21 campaign as a 16-year-old under Willie Kirk, earning 14 appearances for the Toffees prior to her summer move to join the Red Devils.

The now 19-year-old has also gained valuable experience within the England youth setup having represented her country at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-23 level.

Clinton will bring creativity, flair, and ingenuity in the final third that will complement the attacking options at Lauren Smith’s disposal.

“It’s nice to be here,” said Clinton. “There was a lot of back and forth but it’s great to get the deal over the line and get settled in.

“The ambition of the club was the main draw for me, to be honest. The facilities at the Robins High Performance Centre are even better in person – I didn’t expect it!

“Speaking to Lauren (Smith), she was a big part in my decision because of her ambition, the way she talks and how keen she was. I knew it was the right move for me and I couldn’t wait to get started.”

Smith added: “Grace is an exciting, young player who will feed off the players and quality we already have within our attacking options.

“Looking at how we play as well, I think it’ll really benefit her development, and bringing her in can hopefully benefit us in terms of her added quality.”
