The Belgian midfielder was part of the squad who suffered defeat to Manchester City in what was a tough match for the Robins, however Daniels believes there were positives to take from the match, despite the difficult circumstances.
“It was a tough one to take,” she said.
“We know it wasn’t ideal conditions, but we still can take some positives out of the game. We were decent out of possession in the first half until their three quick goals, and we need to take that with us into the Tottenham game this the weekend.”
City will be facing up against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday as part of Women’s Football Weekend, and after a hard start to their Barclay’s FA Women’s Super League campaign, Daniels is raring to go against their North-London opposition.
“We’ve had Everton, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea so we’ve played against a lot of the current top four already and there are a lot more to points to play for and that starts this weekend against Spurs.
“We have a lot more games to play, and it’s nice to play against Tottenham this weekend. We want to win, we’re focused on it, we’re excited to play so we’re going to give it our best and see how we do on the weekend.”
This weekend’s fixture will be another test for the Robins, however Daniels has urged her team-mates to prove themselves on the pitch against the Lilywhites and try to take away all three points.
“We are a really close group and we should show it more on the pitch. We need to be together in these hard times and show on the pitch what we stand for, what the club stands for, and put it right.”
Supporters can watch all Barclays FAWSL games back-to-back tomorrow live on the FA Player App. Bristol City Women will be kicking off their game against Tottenham Hotspur at 6:30pm.
