We’re calling all City fans attending Bristol City Men vs Norwich City on Friday, March 14th (8pm) and Bristol City Women vs Charlton Athletic on Sunday, March 16th (2pm) to consider donating their old sports clothing to Salvation Army.
As part of Green Football Weekend, we’re hosting a donation drop-off point ahead of our dedicated fixtures.
The donation point will be located in the Fan Village, between Kofi and the Bristol Sport Store. Supporters are encouraged to consider donating the following items:
NOT ATTENDING CITY’S DEDICATED FIXTURES?
This year’s Green Football theme is all about keeping sports kits in play for longer - whether by donating, selling, reusing or upcycling - helping to reduce waste, save money, and support those in the community who may otherwise lack access to kits.
In keeping with this year’s theme, Green Football has partnered with the Salvation Army to facilitate donations from supporters unable to attend dedicated Green Football Weekend fixtures.
Supporters can donate in a Salvation Army store, at a centre, or at a donation bank, or they can arrange for a collection to come free-of-charge to their home for bigger items such as furniture.
Salvation Army can also take donations via post with a free postal service.
By donating you are not only helping to support those in the community who may otherwise lack access to kit but you will be scoring ‘green goals’ and helping City climb the Green Football Cup leaderboard.
