Emily Syme named Player of the Month.

Bristol City Women’s Emily Syme has been voted as the Barclays Women’s Championship Player of the Month for December.

Her brace against Durham took her tally to three for the season, as well as clocking up two assists in her 10 games so far this season. She also played 90 minutes in the Adobe Women's FA Cup third round victory over Southampton, which saw City win 3-0.

Syme fought off competition from Isobel Goodwin of London City Lionesses and Sophie Quirk of Portsmouth.

City Women’s Head Coach Steve Kirby said: “I am so pleased Emily has got the recognition her performances have deserved. She is brilliant to work with and her consistent high level is a direct result of all her hard work. She is having a fantastic season."
