‘Every game is a must win’ - Pattinson.

Full-back, Pattinson made the switch to the West Country from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, where she won the double with the academy side, and the youngster has taken the transition into top flight football well in her stride. 

“I’m loving my football at the minute and I’m really grateful for the opportunity that I have been given here at Bristol, it’s been great to come into a team where everyone is comfortable with each other and it’s definitely an environment that has allowed me to thrive.

“The Women’s Super League is a lot faster to what I have been used, you have less time on the ball but I feel as though I have adapted well and I’m just looking to keep working hard week-in, week-out.”, said Pattinson.

Bristol City Women have suffered back-to-back league defeats against Arsenal Women and Reading but despite the disappointing results, Pattinson believes there are still positives to take into this weekend’s clash with Liverpool.  

“I feel as though the results in the last couple of games have been hard to take but there are definitely good aspects of performance to take into this game. We’ve worked hard on improving in possession and we’re getting better with every game, so it’s just about taking that next step against Liverpool.”, she added. 

“Every game is a must win for us, but we’re targeting this game in particular to try and pick up three points."

The under-19 England international is wary of the threats this weekend's opponents will pose to her side, but she is confident City Women can take the work they have been putting in on the training ground and apply it on the pitch. 

“Every game is a must win for us, but we’re targeting this game in particular to try and pick up three points. Liverpool are a tough side, but we have been working hard on our in possession football, so hopefully we can implement that into the game this week and show them what we’re about.

“Liverpool will provide us with a few threats that we will have to work hard to counter. They’re a quite a good pressing team as well, so if we can break that and get at them then we can definitely expose their weaknesses.”
