Foster added to backroom staff.

Twenty-nine-year-old Foster will assist Head Coach Lauren Smith as the Robins embark on the upcoming Championship campaign. 

Speaking on Foster’s appointment, Lauren Smith said: “I’m really pleased Jen has agreed to join us. She is a great coach and will work well in our environment, with the group of players we’ve got.

“We’ll work closely throughout the season ahead to try and bring success on the pitch, and I’m looking forward to seeing her develop as a coach."

Foster’s coaching journey began stateside in 2014 where she was a coach for the UK International Soccer programme, before a three-year spell in Dubai as Head Coach of the Go Pro Football Academy.

The summer of 2018 saw her return to the UK, where she undertook the role of First Team Coach at Barclays FA Women’s Super League outfit Birmingham City.

Foster is ready to embrace her new challenge with Bristol City Women in the Championship.

“It’s an exciting new chapter in my coaching journey and I’m grateful to Lauren for the opportunity to join the backroom staff.

“I’ve been in for a couple of days now and everyone has been welcoming which has made the transition seamless. I’m looking forward the season ahead and getting more time on the grass with the players as we build towards the start of the season.”
