The 34-year-old parted ways with Barclays Women’s Super League side Liverpool on transfer deadline day before putting pen to paper in BS8.
Born in Sunderland, the Northern Ireland international began her professional career with her hometown club before making the switch across the Tyne-Wear divide to Newcastle United.
A short spell over the summer season with Icelandic side Grindavík followed before Furness returned to the North East and Sunderland, helping them to a league title.
She signed for Reading in 2017 and went on to play 43 times for the Royals before heading out on loan to Tottenham Hotspur for the final three months of 2019.
A December move to Merseyside saw Furness join WSL strugglers Liverpool as they were relegated to the second tier.
Two seasons later, walking out in front of a 5,700 strong crowd at Ashton Gate, Furness helped guide the Reds back to the top-flight as champions.

“It feels great to be here,” said Furness.
“It’s been a whirlwind week but I’m glad to get it over the line and I can’t wait to start with the girls.
“When I got off the phone [with Lauren Smith] I was smiling from ear to ear. It was a fantastic conversation.
“I’ll need to get my head down and work really hard to break into this team because the girls are flying.
“The Championship this season is even more competitive than ever and I know how tough it can be. You might not play your best football every week but it’s all about the results and hopefully I can help bring that to the table.”
