Goalkeeper Haaland signs.

City have signed goalkeeper Benedicte Haaland on a short-term deal.

The Norwegian, who represented the Robins in 2020/21, returns to the club as cover for the injured Kaylan Marckese.

After departing City, Haaland made the switch to Iceland to play for UMF Selfoss before a spell with Hellas Verona in Italy.

Most recently, the stopper played for Hibernian in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

“I’m really pleased to be back with Bristol City,” Haaland said. “I enjoyed my time here and I’m looking forward to getting back into it because it’s a club and city that’s very special to me.

“The girls have all welcomed me into the group so well and it’s been really nice to reconnect with some familiar faces too.”
