Bristol City have signed striker Rio Hardy from Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

The experienced forward has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Ashton Gate.

Hardy played in the Champions League and won the Scottish Cup last season with Rangers.

The 29-year-old also has WSL2 experience, making 30 appearances at the level with Durham in 2023.

Head Coach Charlotte Healy said: “We are really pleased to secure Rio’s signature. She is a very exciting signing with a track record of scoring goals. Rio’s ability to score all types of goals will give us real firepower this season and we’re excited to welcome her to Bristol city.”

On signing for City, she said: “I’d heard lots of good things about the club and had a few conversations with Charlotte, and she really sold me on the way she wants to play.”
