Healy announced as women's Head Coach.

Bristol City is delighted to announce the appointment of Charlotte Healy as the club’s new women’s Head Coach.

Healy joins after six years at Manchester United, progressing from Academy Head Coach to first team Assistant Coach at the Women’s Super League club.

Previously, Healy had been women’s Under-21s manager at Manchester City and the women’s assistant Under-23s manager at Liverpool.

Having started her coaching career with Derby County, Healy has also worked with the Football Association as a Development Technical Coach for the North West of England, enhancing and influencing the development of young English female elite footballers.

City Women Chair Gavin Marshall said of the appointment: “Charlotte was the outstanding candidate throughout the recruitment process, and not only has she worked in the WSL, but she also has a track record of improving young players.

“We are looking forward to working with Charlotte ahead of our upcoming WSL2 campaign.”

Charlotte Healy said: “I’m really excited to be here at such a big club with a rich history in the women’s game. I’m delighted and can’t wait to get going.”

Having worked in youth football before moving into senior roles, Healy has a passion for coaching young talent.

“Providing opportunities for young players is really important, it’s something I value and love doing. I love seeing players progress into the first team and I’m excited to be able to provide that opportunity to players in our pathway.”

City’s new Head Coach added: “I’m high challenge, I want us to win, I want us to be successful but if you came into my environment, I hope you’d see it is really high support as well.

“I can’t wait to play in front of our fans, and they’ll be a huge part of what we do”
