I want a reaction from my players - Kirk.

Much like many of the performances so far this season, the Vixens had opportunities during the game but couldn't quite turn their pressure into rewards.

The City Women head coach wants a reaction from his players on Saturday, as the team look for a vital three points to get back on track when they return to the Stoke Gifford Stadium against Sunderland Ladies (kick-off 5:30pm).

He said: "We didn't quite get the result we wanted against Everton last week and we are disappointed to go out of the FA Cup in the fourth round."

"The frustrating thing was that large parts of the performance were really good, but we weren't clinical enough in both boxes, and that ultimately costs us the match.

"We are looking to get back on track on Saturday and I'm looking for a good performance and a positive result, I want to see a reaction from my players."

"After being away from home three matches on the bounce, it'll great to be back in familiar surroundings at the Stoke Gifford Stadium and we are looking to utilise home advantage as we return to league action.

Kirk says the squad are about where he envisaged them to be in terms of progress as the team approach the half-way point of the WSL season and he's excited for the future.

He added: "We have built some very good foundations over the last 12 months, and I'm excited to see what this squad can achieve over the next few years."

City Women face Sunderland on Saturday, tickets are available.
