Fans will be able to drink alcohol in their seats for women’s first team home league games at Ashton Gate for this Sunday's game against Southampton (2pm kick-off) and for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

The club are taking part in a pilot along with three other women’s football clubs and venues - Birmingham City (St Andrews Stadium), Newcastle United (Kingston Park), and Southampton (St Mary’s Stadium) - to allow alcohol to be consumed in view of the pitch.

The Robins have been praised for their innovative approach to the fan experience, from the Thatcher’s Apple Roll and junior reporters, to drummers, DJs and concourse activations, and last season saw an average attendance of 6,987 at Ashton Gate - the fifth highest in the Women’s Super League.

The pilot has been implemented for the second half of this Barclay’s Women’s Championship season and include the following games:

  • Sunday, February 16th: Southampton (2pm kick-off)
  • Sunday, March 16th: Charlton Athletic (2pm kick-off)
  • Sunday, March 30th: Sheffield United (1pm kick-off)
  • Sunday, April 27th: Sunderland AFC (1pm kick-off)
