‘It was a squad effort’ – Smith.

The Robins sit top of Group D after their second win in the group stages as goals from Abi Harrison, Aggie Beever-Jones and Melissa Johnson wrapped up all three points at the Robins HPC on Wednesday. 

Speaking to Robins TV, Smith said: “It’s great to see us putting performances together now as we approach the next international break, and we’ve got some momentum going into the weekend against Watford.

“To be able to make so many changes in the second half and continue to manage the game, whilst also going after them (Lewes) shows the depth that we’ve got and that we can use the whole squad.”

UP NEXT 

Wednesday night’s fixture was City Women’s last outing at home in 2021. 

The Robins travel to the King’s Langley Ground on Sunday to take on Watford FC prior to the November international break.
