- Full time - Based at the Robins High Performance Centre
- Salary: Competitive
- Design and lead all pre-training and pre-match warm ups
- Design and deliver all gym sessions, ensuring that individual players needs’ are met
- Proactively lead on hydration, nutrition and supplement strategies
- Daily, weekly and cyclical load monitoring and planning in line with periodisation plan
- Lead and monitor off-season planning and programming
- Liaise with National teams pre and post-camp regarding loading & wellbeing
- To organise and lead fitness testing at appropriate times throughout the season
- Ensure all sports science and strength and conditioning services are consistently operating at best-practice standards
- To assist the medical team as required with functional rehabilitation and return to play strategies
- Monitor and report on player ‘readiness to train’ protocols
- Play an active role in the delivery of recovery sessions as required
- Develop realationships with pathway coaches to ensure club wide processes are applied throughout
Essential:
- Have a BSc in Sports Science or a related field
- Hold UK Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC) credential (or working towards)
- The Football Association Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) qualification
- Be a UKAD Clean Sport Advisor
- Experience in delivering physical performance coaching in elite sport, including an understanding of periodisation
- Excellent academic and applied knowledge of contemporary practice in physical performance development
- Track record of successfully integrating into established and developing coaching teams
- Previous experience of work within football
- FA enhanced CRC
- Understand and have applied exprience of using GPS tracking systems
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working within the Women’s game, at Super League or Championship level.
- An MSc in Strength and Conditioning or postgraduate related.
- Additional S&C related qualifications (for example NSCA/BWLA/FA Level 3).
- To be a BASES Accredited Sports Scientist.
