Job Vacancy: Women’s Super League Academy Head Coach.

Overview:

  • Bristol City Women’s Super League Academy Head Coach
  • Bristol City Football Club
  • Preparation of high potential youth players
  • Full time - Full Time, based at SGS College (BS34 8LP), and other sites as required. National travel is an essential requirement for the role
  • Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 (Dependant on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivery of high-quality coaching and performance of the WSLA coaching program in line with BCWFC Technical Program
  • Planning and delivery of off field learning opportunities
  • Working as part of a MDT to organise an environment of excellence
  • Ensure a consistent player development model
  • Leading the WSLA and SGS player recruitment process with the Youth Development Manager
  • Reporting and monitoring of players progress
  • Delivery of player IDP’s in line with club policy
  • Reporting and monitoring throughout the season for players on field, and academic progress (attendance & achievement).
  • Support and develop the BCWFC / SGS partnership for long term sustainable success
  • Meeting, reporting and administration as required
  • Be a key part in the communication through the players performance, in line with their SGS college commitments and performance
  • Line manage of coaches, interns, assistant and volunteer coaches
  • Communicate with DISE partner and lead the WSL DISE education programme

Skills and Experience: 

Essential:

  • Experience in working in a High-Performance football environment with 16-19-year olds
  • UEFA B Licence
  • Be able to work as part of a team, but also lead on own initiative.
  • Have empathy, be supportive and encouraging to developing others, working with integrity at all times.
  • Have an open / growth mindset.
  • Be an honest, clear communicator
  • Enthusiastic and ability to engage with academy/college student and staff

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working within the Women’s game, at International, Women’s Super League or Championship level.
  • UEFA A Licence
  • Master’s degree in performance coaching / analysis or similar subject
  • First aid at work training
  • Knowledge and experience of FE in the UK, experience of working within sport education
