️ Johnson joins City Women ranks.

The forward arrives at City after spending the 2020/21 campaign at Championship outfit Sheffield United.

After signing for the Robins, Johnson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Bristol City as we build towards the start of the new Championship season.

“We’re not far away now from the start of the season so I’m aiming to hit the ground running for the last few weeks of pre-season and that’ll hopefully lead to a strong start.

“I’ve spoken a lot with Lauren (Smith) about her plans for the team this season and where I fit in to those, and I’m looking forward to working with her. I’m going to push myself in training so I can put in the performances I know I’m capable of. I want to contribute to a successful season for the club.”

The former Blade made nine starts last season finding the back of the net on six occasions.

However, 2019/20 was Johnson’s most prolific season in front of goal as she netted 12 goals for Aston Villa on their path to promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

Johnson is Smith’s ninth summer signing as the striker links up with her new teammates ahead of the Championship season.

Supporters can purchase tickets to watch City’s newest recruit in action at the High Performance Centre alongside her new teammates this weekend, when the Robins take on Lewes FC on Sunday (August 15th, 3pm KO).

Season Cards are also still available for the 2021/22 Championship season.
