Ladd Confident of City Women Improvement.

The Vixens currently sit fourth in the division after seven matches and host Oxford United in their first match in just over a month this Saturday (June 25th, 6pm) at Stoke Gifford Stadium.

Willie Kirk’s side suffered back-to-back defeats before their mid-season break, but Ladd is adamant City will develop as the campaign goes on.

“We knew the first half was going to be difficult because we had 13 or 14 new members in the team,” she said.

“Willie said it was going to take time for us to gel but I think we’ve had that time and it’ll be a really good second half of the season.

“We’ve had our rest, come back refreshed and I really think we’re going to improve. The team looks really good and everything looks positive towards our next home game."

City Women haven’t played at home since their 2-0 win over Aston Villa in April.

Eighth-placed Oxford are the visitors to Filton this weekend and Ladd has called on City fans to turn out in their droves.

"It’s so important that we get as many people down to watch the games as possible,” the Welsh international said. "It creates an atmosphere and gives the girls an extra level of motivation."

Entry is free for City season card holders.
