Lloyd-Smith joins City.

Bristol City have completed the signing of winger Lexi Lloyd-Smith on a two-year deal, following her departure from Southampton.

The 21-year-old spent two seasons with the Saints, finding the net five times as the South Coast side finished fourth in the Barclays Women’s Championship last time out.

Her career began in the Arsenal Academy before making the switch to Chelsea and then Charlton Athletic, then heading to the USA.

Lloyd-Smith played at the highest level of collegiate football for the University of South Alabama, bagging a goal and an assist on her debut, before a return to England.

On signing for City, Lloyd-Smith said: “I can’t wait to get started. The facilities are amazing, and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to show everyone what I can do.

“I enjoyed meeting the girls too and I love the energy and the vibe at the club. It feels like a big family.”
