More than a month since their last outing, Lauren Smith's side will be relishing the return to action as the league's bottom side make the trip to BS8 with hopes of turning their fortunes.

Having made a return to winning ways in their last outing before the break - a 2-0 Vitality Women's FA Cup win over Southampton - the Robins will be looking to pick up where they left off before the turn of the year.

"It feels like it's been a really long month so we're excited to get back out there," said Smith.

"The group are flying and you can see that they need to get back out on the pitch.

"We all had a break over Christmas which was needed, but we live for games and everyone is ready to get back into action and feeling refreshed and recharged."

Coventry United haven't had the easiest ride in the Barclays Women's Championship this season and are yet to pick up a point after the opening 10 games.

The cup competitions have been a little more forgiving this season, with the Red and Greens progressing to the Fourth Round of the Vitality Women's FA Cup with victory over Stockport County to set up a tie with Hashtag United.

Lee Burch's side also picked up three points in the FA Continental Tyres Cup group stage with a victory over Southampton.

January has been a busy month for this weekend's visitors, with six new faces arriving in the dressing room to bolster the squad. With what could be a completely new-look Coventry United side this weekend, who knows how different things could look in 2023.
