Match Preview: Lewes (Conti Cup - A).

08 Jun 2026BCW Media Team

Lauren Smith's side will be looking to secure qualification from the group stages and into the Quarter Finals of the competition, with a home tie against Manchester City on the line.

The Robins sit third in Group D with three points having beaten Crystal Palace and fallen to defeat at Charlton Athletic in their last Conti Cup outing.

The Addicks, having played one extra game, sit on six points, while Wednesday's opponents Lewes currently occupy top spot with six points and a superior goal difference. The top team in each group will progress to the next round, meaning victory for the Robins would be enough to reach the knockout stage.

Chloe Bull, who found the net on her first league start of the season last time out, is looking forward to the opportunities that come with cup outings.

"We've got quite a big squad now and it's great that everyone gets an opportunity to show what they can do," she said.

"Lewes have done well in the Conti Cup so far and they'll be up for it tonight.

"Whoever wins will likely face Man City at home in the quarter finals so both teams will want to have that chance.

"You always want to test yourselves against the best sides and it would be great to have a top WSL team visit the HPC.

"Fingers crossed we can make that happen."
