🆚 OUR OPPONENTS: LONDON CITY LIONESSES
Formed: 2019
Stadium: Princes Park
Nickname: The Pride
Head Coach: Nikita Runnacles
Finish last season: 2nd
Since defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season, London City Lionesses have been one of the sides to beat. They’ve clocked up 10 victories and three draws from 16 games.
Following the postponed meeting between London City and Bristol City back in January, Lionesses Head Coach Melissa Phillips departed the club for the Head Coach role at Angel City.
Nikita Runnacles took over the reigns ahead of an FA Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, before sealing a 3-1 victory over Sunderland on her first Championship outing in charge.
However, two defeats in their last four outings, the 3-1 scoreline in BS8 and a shock home defeat against 11th-placed Sheffield United, has seen the Pride's impressive record slip very slightly.
