The Robins return from the international break to take on the Citizens, just one month on from their last meeting.

The WSL outfit came out on top when the sides met at Ashton Gate in the quarter-final on the FA Continental Tyres Cup, with Lauren Smith's side hoping they can put on an improved display this time around.

The visitors come into this one in fine form, having beaten Arsenal last time out to leapfrog them in the hunt for the top-flight title.

🆚 OUR OPPONENTS: MANCHESTER CITY

Formed: 1988
Stadium: Academy Stadium
Nickname: The Citizens, City
Manager: Gareth Taylor
Finish last season: 3rd (WSL)

In the month since the Robins last welcomed Gareth Taylor's side to the West County, they have closed the gap on their Manchester rivals to just three points at the top of the Barclays Women's Super League.

And with just one defeat in their last seventeen outings in all competitions - a defeat to Arsenal in the semi-final of the Conti Cup - there's no hiding the fact that the Citizens are an almost unstoppable force.

Trailing in the race for the league title, and out of the other domestic competition, Manchester City will be desperate to make their mark on this season's Vitality Women's FA Cup.

⏮ MATCH REWIND

Result: Manchester City 1-1 Bristol City
When: 06.01.2019
Competition: Women's Super League

Lucy Graham’s second half penalty helped Bristol City Women come from behind to draw 1-1 with Manchester City at the SGS College Stoke Gifford Stadium.

The visitors took the lead with ten minutes to play in the first-half, Abbie McManus showed great awareness and footwork in the box to beat two Bristol City Women defenders and pick out Nikita Parris, who placed the ball into the bottom corner and put her side ahead.

Chances came few and far between in then opening stages of the second half, but that all changed when Jennifer Beattie brought down Lucy Graham in the box leaving referee, James Durkin no choice but to point to the spot.

It was Graham who stepped up and sent Roebuck the wrong way to cooly dispatch her penalty into the bottom corner and bring Tanya Oxtoby’s side level.
