08 Jun 2026BCW Media Team

It's Fourth Round action in BS8 as Lauren Smith's side take on the National League South leaders with hopes of returning to winning ways after suffering defeat at the hands of Manchester City in midweek.

Goals from Shania Hayles and a stunning Emily Syme free-kick secured progression to this stage of the competition as the Robins' saw off Championship rivals Southampton in their final outing before the Christmas break.

The visitors come into this on the back a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bridgewater United last time out, with their route to Sunday's FA Cup meeting proving equally resounding.

A 6-1 victory over Chesham United kick-started the campaign before Liam Gilbert's side hit 13 without reply against Liskeard Athletic, finally teeing up this weekend's meeting thanks to a 3-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.

🆚 OUR OPPONENTS: OXFORD UNITED

Formed: 2005
Stadium: Marsh Lane
Nickname: The U's, Yellows
Head Coach: Liam Gilbert
Finish last season: 2nd (National League South)

The U's intentions were clear from the off in this season's National League South campaign, winning their first four outing without conceding a single goal. Three consecutive 1-1 draws followed in the league before they promptly bounced back to winning ways and established themselves as the side to beat in the division.

Despite falling to defeat at the hands of second-place Portsmouth in December, Gilbert's side are still sitting pretty at the top of the table with a five-point cushion over the South-coast side, vying to go one better than last season and bounce back to the second tier of the women's football pyramid.
