The Robins sit at the top of three tree going into this one having picked up a point at home to Southampton in their last league outing, almost three weeks ago.
Ffion Morgan's first-half goal put Lauren Smith's side ahead after half an hour at Ashton Gate, but the home side found themselves pinned back after Beth Lumsden struck the equaliser just minutes after the break.
City returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion a week later in the FA Continental Cup and breezed past Crystal Palace, hitting four without reply.

🆚 OUR OPPONENTS: SHEFFIELD UNITED
Formed: 1989
Stadium: Bramall Lane
Nickname: The Blades
Manager: Neil Redfearn
Finish last season: 7th
Despite defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers on opening day, Sheffield United have enjoyed a bright start to the season, scoring more than any other side.
The second match day saw the Blades hit two without reply against Durham thanks to a spectacular brace from Courtney Sweetman-Kirk (who joined from Women's Super League side Liverpool in 2020), the tricky forward cutting in from the left to find the top corner before racing through and lofting a deft effort over the keeper for her second of the afternoon.
United backed up a first victory of the season in their next outing with an 8-0 thrashing of Coventry United as six different players put their name on the scoresheet in a sparkling display at Bramall Lane.
A 2-2 drew with Lewes followed to tee up tomorrow's clash in South Yorkshire, as the best defence in the division goes head-to head against the most formidable attack. Just three points separate the sides, with the Blades sitting in 4th.
⏮ MATCH REWIND
Result: Bristol City 5-1 Sheffield United
When: 31.10.2021
Competition: Championship
City hit five past Sheffield United on route to victory at the Robins High Performance Centre back in October.
The Blades took the lead early on as Lucy Watson was picked out in acres of space on the left-hand side and the forward made no mistake in slotting the ball into the far corner.
City immediately responded as Abi Harrison netted her third goal in as many games. Aggie Beever-Jones curled a sumptuous ball into the six-yard box which Harrison helped into the far corner to bring the Robins level.
Four minutes later the Robins would take the lead. Chloe Bull’s corner was headed on by Satara Murray to skipper Aimee Palmer, whose sweetly struck half-volley nestled into the far corner.
City emerged from the half-time break looking to extend their lead and they did just that inside two minutes through Palmer. The skipper made use of the wind yet again as she curled her corner past everyone in the box and into the net.
The set-piece was proving dangerous and it would get City their fourth as Chloe Bull headed home from anther Palmer corner to open her account for the Robins.
City had an eye for goal, and they wouldn’t be stopping at four as Melissa Johnson bagged the host’s fifth. Her striker’s instincts were in full effect as she took advantage of lapse in concentration from the Blades to poke home and make it 5-1 to the hosts.
