The two sides go head-to-head at St. Mary's Stadium on Women's Football Weekend as Lauren Smith's side look to bounce back from defeat at London City Lionesses last time out.

The defeat at Princes Park marks only the second time the Robins have walked away from a league game with nothing this season as they remain three points clear at the top of the table.

Sunday's hosts sit in fifth, three league games without victory.

🆚 OUR OPPONENTS: SOUTHAMPTON

Formed: 2017
Stadium: St. Mary's Stadium
Nickname: The Saints
Head Coach: Marieanne Spacey-Cale
Finish last season: 1st (National League South - promoted)

2021/22 saw Southampton win the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division to earn a chance at promotion to the second-tier by beating the Northern Premier Division champions in a play-off.

They did just that, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 to secure a spot in the Championship, the club's highest position since it's revival.

During the off-season, Southampton made the steps to become a professional outfit and are reaping the rewards of it this campaign.

Despite a slight dip in form in recent weeks, the Saints are still well within a shot at making the top three this season and will be looking to put on a big performance this weekend to get back on track.
